I hired Barracuda Builders this past fall to buildout Tucker's Provisions. The project involved complete renovation by transforming an old pizzeria into a brand new retail concept. Every aspect of the space–from the facade to the floors to the walls to the ceiling to electrical to HVAC to plumbing–required significant work. Making the project more complicated, the space is effectively three separate spaces/buildings as a result of add-ons throughout several decades. The results being that there were issues well beyond the standard obstacles generally encountered with a historic property. Certainly the designers helped with many of these obstacles, but there were several key crossroads where Barracuda's team led the project down the best path. Bryan was always available and ready to handle whatever hurdles suddenly appeared–whether bringing in additional crew or a last minute meeting with the city building department–as can be so common in such a project. Although we failed to make our initial time goals, the end result speaks for itself.
