Decreased electronic deliverable time by a factor of 40 times while increasing accuracy and compliance with customer requirements, which in turn allowed the company to expand throughput by a factor of 4.
In this position, I managed the services and production divisions and served as a technology expert for technicians and IT departments in medium to large corporations, government, and institutions. A main responsibility was to oversee/advise 24/7 troubleshooters for customer IT locations where the existing IT staff could not solve the problem, did not have the technical experience, needed procedures developed, or did not have sufficient manpower.
Oversaw a 24/7 help desk and support personnel
Managed the assimilation of four independent firms into one.
Founded Affordable Computing, a computer sales and services corporation. During the course of the term of my tenure, the firm was built into a multi-million dollar firm serving as IBM’s largest independent warranty center. In addition, this company developed a large number of applications for government and industry, as well as, provided networking and computer support. This firm produced branded hardware personal computers.
When the company was reorganized, I was the only retained member out of 42 programmers. The company decided to go all direct billable labor for margins.
