Why did I use a doggy to represent my company? A friend of mine who owns a local dog/cat boutique always looked for ways to support local businesses and also wanted healthier options for her client’s pets. One day her husband was driving to Orlando and noticed the magnet sign on the outside of the car he was passing. The magnet sign advertised that she produced home-made, gourmet doggy treats and biscuits. Her business was also operated in a small town just outside of my friend’s store location. He called the number listed on the magnetic sign and they decided to meet up at the next exit and worked out a deal. Soon the doggy biscuits were in my friend’s store and sales were going well. With so many pleased customers, my friend also made arrangements for the biscuits to be sold in her friend’s stores in the Clearwater, FL area. I loved this story because it is a perfect example of how a small car magnet got this company recognized and helped expand her business.
