Our family’s dream was to one day watch the boys play competitive baseball together. Kyle and Zachary would sit at our kitchen table and talk about how they were going to play baseball on the fields behind our home. Our dream of watching our boys play baseball together have been shattered. We put the energy we use in grieving our loss into making other children’s/families dreams come true. We believe in the children/youth and wanted to do something to make a difference in their lives. Ball Parks 4 Him was created in Zachary’s memory to help children/youth with their sports financial needs. Ball Parks 4 Him is a not for profit 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. is to give every child a chance to play sports no matter the ability to pay. We believe in people’s ability to reach the next level, in people’s ability to push themselves beyond what is expected. We believe that desire, commitment, hard work and intensity combined with quality sport specific training can ultimately bridge the gap between potential and true performance. It is our primary goal to assist individual children in becoming better athletes by helping them with their financial needs. Finally, we believe that athletics can help every young child to become a better person by providing them with important life skills and tools that they will find necessary in fulfilling their future dreams and goals. Zachary making a wish Ball Parks 4 Him is a 501(c)(3) not for profit charitable foundation in memory of Zachary Siegfried. Our goal is to assist in the financial needs of children ranging in age from 5-18 who have a desire to play sports and have a financial hardship. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to play sports, regardless of their ability to pay. Ball Parks 4 Him was founded in October 2010. In the first year, we assisted 5 children with their sports financial needs. One recipient was a 9 year old boy who needed a customized prosthetic baseball glove to enable him to play baseball. Our foundation has provided other items as well such as shoes, wheelchair, bats, entry fees to sports programs, necessary clothing, helmets, balls and much more. Since 2010, we’ve assisted over 700 kids with their sports financial needs in our community. Thanks to our amazing donors, we have been blessed to provide funds to each and every child that has qualified. In the past, Ball Parks 4 Him was awarded a $500 PNC Sponsorship to buy 50 pairs of shoes for local children. Once people heard we were buying shoes for children in need, many more started donating to the cause. Currently, we have raised $1,350 to buy shoes for children in need. We have bought and delivered over 125 pairs of shoes thus far and still have a lot to go! More recently, we received a $25,000 grant from State Farm through the neighborhood assist program. This grant has made a huge impact on our community. Ball Parks 4 Him believes in our youth and continues to strive to make a difference in their lives.
