The Club is a non-membership fishing and hunting organization, with the same team operating in two different areas, two different lodges, and different times of the year. We are a close team: owner- Gordon Baggett, hostess/ manager- Angela, executive chef- Bill, and a small group of professional guides. We began as a fly-fishing lodge in the Florida Keys mainly for tarpon and permit fishing during the peak months of April - July. The guides are each avid outdoorsmen and pursue other fishing and hunting year-round. Another great season is during Fall months, in the famous Mosquito Lagoon for world-class redfishing. Also in the Fall is Florida's alligator hunting season. . So we secured a different lodge in this area, now operating the Bahia Honda Sporting Club for both. We offer trips for redfishing only, or for alligator hunting only, or combine them both for a "cast and blast" type trip, daytime redfishing and nighttime alligator hunting. We are very flexible, and we accommodate our guests for any length of time, any arrangement you prefer. Either fly-fishing or spinning rods, the guides are trained FFF fly-casting instructors and available to help with fly casting technique. Or redfish are easily caught on spinning rods also, for conventional anglers. The Bahia Honda Sporting Club offers a convenient way to access certain hunting and fishing areas, luxurious accommodations and service, and superior guiding. We operate out of two different lodges and locations. During May and June we focus on fly-fishing for tarpon in the Lower Florida Keys. During late August, September, and October we focus primarily on hunting alligators on the marsh in Central Florida.
