I got into fishing at a very young age and was taught to fly cast by my father when I was about 10 years old. With life doing what life does, I didn’t really get into fly fishing seriously until I was in college. This opened up a whole new aspect of fishing and has provided me with some of the best times of my life. Most of my time on the water has been in pursuit of learning the backwaters that make up both the east and west coasts of Central Florida. This includes the waters between Chassahowitzka and Crystal River on the west coast, as well as, the waters of the Banana River, Indian River, and Mosquito Lagoon systems. The lifestyle that is called fly fishing has taken me to some amazing destinations and has provided me with some amazing experiences in the wild. From chasing big salty critters in the Florida Keys, to roosters in Coast Rica, to small wild trout in the Carolinas, and all the way up to the high mountain cutthroat of the Wind River Range in Wyoming; I have been blessed to experience fly fishing at its finest. This site is an outdoor enthusiast’s way of sharing some of his findings, in hopes to encourage others to get up off the couch and enjoy nature at its best.
