My name is Safia Shirley and I am the proud owner of Baby's Close-Up 3D/4D Ultrasound, as well as the lead sonographer. I have over 15 years of experience in ultrasound, and I am a registered diagnostic medical sonographer through the ARDMS. I have worked in many different settings from OB/Gyn's offices to hospitals to outpatient imaging centers. For the majority of my ultrasound career, I have worked in facilities where family members were typically not invited in to the exam room to share or be a part of the ultrasound. Over the years, I realized that I wanted to show people their beautiful babies, and it was hard for me to not turn the screen towards them and to allow people to see the miracle of life happening right in front of their eyes. After seeing thousands of beautiful babies while doing ultrasounds over the years, I realized that I wanted to be more involved with sharing my experience and helping families bond with their unborn child through ultrasound technology. Baby's Close-Up 3D/4D Ultrasound has allowed me to fulfill my dream of using ultrasound to give families a peek into the amazing world of their unborn child and to strengthen and enhance the bonding experience between family members and their little one. At Baby's Close-Up, we strive to capture tiny details from smiles, dimples and facial features, to the miraculous bigger movements that we see babies doing such as stretching, kicking, and yawning, all while in the womb. You may even be able to tell that your future new addition has "daddy's nose" or "mommy's chin". Baby's Close-Up is conveniently located in Jacksonville, Florida at the intersection of Kernan Blvd and Beach Blvd. We are located on Kernan Blvd. South, adjacent to the Publix shopping center located on Beach Blvd. We provide quality elective non-diagnostic Early Heartbeat Reassurance ultrasounds (7-13 weeks), Early Gender Determination ultrasounds (starting as early as 14 weeks), and 3D/4D prenatal ultrasounds (24-36 weeks), while also providing a comfortable, unique, bonding, movie theater like experience, featuring your little one as the star of the show.
