Babas Production was created by Herve Bastien in June 2006, and has for primary goals to honor people who are exemplary in their roles as professional, volunteers or agent of change, and to promote Haitian Culture through music, dance, and poetry. Several Haitians residing in Florida travel yearly to their native country just to participate in different “Fêtes Champêtres” organized in Cap-Haitian and other northern cities every summer. To mark the “Fêtes Champêtres” season for Nordists living in South Florida, Babas Production came up with the idea of “Le Grand Nord En Soirée”, which is a live event, where families and friends gather to show love and appreciation for their cultural heritage.
