About Avenue Sea Owner, Christine Stringer, envisioned a shopping experience that would allow residents and visitors alike to embrace their style and surround themselves with what they love. As a seasoned traveler with a penchant for beautiful things, Christine valued the many treasures found across the globe. Her vision, to bring precious treasures to our shores, was appropriately named Avenue Sea as a nod to the centuries wherein the sea had been the avenue by which goods and treasures were obtained. Her long time commitment to the arts and historic downtown yielded the perfect spot to create her “dream shop”. Located in the heart of historic downtown Panama City, with over 6,000 square feet of retail and warehouse space, the Avenue Sea building itself dates back to the 1920’s. After an extensive renovation that retained much of the integrity of the original building, Avenue Sea opened in 2008 with an emphasis on customer service and artistic display. Merchandise collections meld Christine’s appreciation for Old World European style, bold and glamorous classics and casual coastal elegance for an eclectic and timeless selection of treasures for any home.
