Our experienced management team includes former corporate security directors, local and federal law enforcement leaders, and business executives/entrepreneurs working each day to deliver the highest quality of support in the security services industry. Starting with fewer than 100 law enforcement officer associates and 2 initial clients, our company has grown over the last decade to supporting more than two hundred clients in all major corporate sectors. More than 4000 officers, either individually or through their departments, provide Managed Security Services throughout the country. With an off-duty law enforcement service starting with fewer than 100 police officer associates and 2 initial clients, our company has grown over the last decade to supporting more than two hundred clients in all major corporate sectors. To learn more about our services, call The Athos Group at Following in his father’s example, Chris entered the police academy at age 19 and became a Sheriff’s Deputy soon thereafter. He rose rapidly through the ranks of his department; from Patrol, to Detective, to Chief Investigator and member of the SWAT Team. He was promoted to the rank of Captain, leading the agency’s Investigations Division. Chris received special training focusing on crimes against persons and child victims, and was a member of a multi-agency Child Advocacy Center, an interdisciplinary team investigating child deaths and sexual assaults. Chris helped form, and served as Co-Coordinator of, the region’s Search and Rescue Team comprised of law enforcement, fire department, state parks and wildlife, and state corrections department officers to recover missing children, lost hunters and others in peril. Like many officers struggling to provide for their families, Chris began working off-duty security jobs to supplement his income and purchased his first home with the money he earned. He then began assisting fellow officers by helping them schedule other regional off-duty requests, and built an early reputation for reliability, accountability and customer service. His success continued, and in 2006 he formed Chris realized that he could provide reliable off-duty work for law enforcement officers while helping businesses manage risk, and began leading his company full time. Starting with fewer than 100 law enforcement officer associates and 2 initial clients, the company grew over the last decade to supporting more than two hundred clients in all major corporate sectors and partnering with more than 4000 officers to provide services. Group, and even with the tremendous growth of his company, the core values Chris first established remain at its foundation: trust, accountability, integrity, and partnership. ’ President, joining the company in 2016 after careers as a corporate security director; Special Agent and senior executive in the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and city police officer and investigator. He is also a former prosecutor and civil litigation attorney, and is a member of the Florida Bar. At , Rick oversees the company’s strategic development and operational excellence efforts, as well as serving as a principal for its Security Management Support practice. Prior to joining Athos, Rick was Director of Security for the Williams Companies, a Fortune 500 energy infrastructure company. Previously to that, he served as Vice President of Security – Americas for Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation. In that role he oversaw Oxy’s security operations in the US, Canada and South America.
