And because of our unparalleled reach, we are always nearby when our clients need us. © 2018 ATC Group Services LLC. All Rights Reserved. Company History Founded in 1982 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as an independent testing laboratory, ATC Group Services LLC has since greatly expanded our offerings and reach, growing alongside our clients and acquiring companies that complement our mission. After our first round of acquisitions in 1991, we moved our headquarters to Woburn, Massachusetts. We have been headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana, since 2009. In 2012, ATC merged with the global company Cardno, but only briefly. Just three years later we broke from Cardno and were acquired by a group led by Bernhard Capital Partners Management LP to serve as the core of its environmental services portfolio. In 2016, we acquired Sage Environmental (now Sage ATC) and Dexter Field Services (now Dexter ATC Field Services), expanding our multidisciplinary offerings to include air quality consulting. We also completed the acquisition of multi-regional Environmental Compliance Services (ECS) that same year, growing our company to more than 1,900 employees and 115 office locations. I believe that strong relationships and teamwork are key components in a successful company. My position in business development at ATC has granted me the opportunity to build relationships with both clients and co-workers throughout the country. Whether you have worked here for years or are new to the company, work in one of our large offices or in a smaller office…ATC employees are a part of something special. We are a TEAM who supports each other. Business Development Admin I pursued the opportunity to work with ATC based on several factors: I liked the national presence of ATC and the ability for the firm to service clients across multiple regions, ATC had a good reputation in the local market, providing the basis for growth and the people. I know several people with ATC and appreciated that fact that they liked where they work, the people they work with and the projects they are working on. The key, for me, was finding a great place to use my experience, mentor staff, and still have room for professional growth. As trusted advisors, we work to understand our clients’ businesses and customize solutions to their environmental challenges. We are professional engineers, certified industrial hygienists, geologists/hydrogeologists, environmental auditing/permitting specialists, environmental scientists, biologists, certified hazardous materials managers, asbestos/lead consultants, environmental trainers, and more. And because of our unparalleled reach, we are always nearby when our clients need us. © 2018 ATC Group Services LLC. All Rights Reserved. – The Energy Policy Act of 2005 only required training for operators in states that received monies from the EPA.  This change ensures that all operators across the country and in states without operator training requirements, and in Indian Country, have training. The EPA is attempting to ensure that all operators across the country are trained to prevent and respond to releases.  The EPA has provided a 3 year timeframe for implementation. – Owners/operators are required to test spill prevention equipment, containment sumps used as secondary containment for piping  and overfill protection equipment every three years, and release detection devices must be tested annually.  This testing will ensure that all components of a UST system that are designed to detect and prevent a discharge are operating properly.  Some components, such as spill buckets, will fail. This rule modification will help operators catch issues early. The EPA is requiring testing within 3 years of the adoption of the rule. – As interstitial monitoring becomes a more widely used method of release detection, the EPA has clarified the rule to include its use.  Specifically, interstitial alarms are now considered an unusual operating condition under release reporting.  EPA adds an option to test secondary containment when present as a means of investigating and/or confirming a release.  The rule also adds an option for system closure if a test confirms a leak.   This portion of the rule revision is effective immediately. ATC provides integrated environmental consulting and engineering services from more than 100 locations nationwide. Our comprehensive expertise in air, land, and water combined with full design, project management, and implementation services allows us to handle any challenge from consulting to completion. As a single source for a wide range of solutions, we help simplify our clients’ projects and create new efficiencies. We partner with them the entire way to reduce complexity, innovate solutions, and get projects done safely and quickly.
