Since  they usually do commercial jobs and larger residential orders, they definitely did not have to step up The company who I made the purchase from would not stand behind the couch.  It was a custom couch, and cost a lot.  In less than a year it looked like it was about 10 years old.  Elsie was unbelievably courteous and professional.  The original company would not cover the repairs, and Elsie arranged for the boss at Astoria to give me an estimate, and they remade the couch for a very reasonable price.  (no dacron liner had been installed in the cushions, thus allowing constant unsightly slippage of the cushions, and unsightly squashing;  it was also delivered with the wrong legs.) If you EVER have need for a commercial job (bar, cafe, restaurant, hotel, etc), or want a custom piece of furniture for your residence, you will not be disappointed if you go with Astoria Imports. PRODUCT INFORMATION All Astoria Compass products are constructed with a high standard of quality. All goods are of contract quality and are suitable for commercial/contract use. Please read below for specific information. No-Sag, sinuous loop, high-carbon steel springs provide long-lasting comfort and support. Cushions feature high quality foam which meets CAL117 flammability testing. It has a 1.8 lbs/ft density with a 14-18 lb (+/- 2lbs) IDF range and 85% IFD retention. It is tested at 95% Compression, with a 55% rebound rating. All cushions are wrapped in 2 layers of Dacron. Proper care and maintenance will prolong the life of your furniture and help preserve its beauty. It is also essential to preserving your rights under this Warranty. We will not repair or replace your furniture if damage is caused by improper use, by improper maintenance or by improper cleaning. This Warranty does not apply if product damage results from the use of detergents, cleansers, abrasives or other harsh cleaning agents on the furniture. This Warranty does not apply if an inspection by Astoria Compass reveals that product damage results from abuse, normal wear and tear, or accidents, including without limitation burns, cuts, tears, scratches, scuffs, stains and cracks. This Warranty does not cover damage cause by common carrier. If a product is damaged in freight, a claim with the carrier may be filed. Any damage must be declared when the goods are received and indicated on Bill of Lading. Please provide photos of the damage, quantity of pieces damaged and brief description of the damage. All fabric is COM. Since the manufacturers of upholstery fabrics do not guarantee their products for wearing quality, colorfastness, fabric shrinkage, wrinkling or stretching, Astoria Compass cannot extend a warranty against these problems to you. All goods are inspected prior to shipment. If the possibility of a manufacturer defect exists, a claim must be filed with Astoria Compass. Please provide the PO and item numbers as well as photos of the piece and a description the problem you are having with your Astoria Compass furniture.
