​Hearken Media Group LLC was first known as Hearken Corp. Hearken Corp was incorporated in 1990 in the County of Middlesex, England. The main component of business at that time was sound equipment rental. During this time the owner was in his 6th year of employment in the sound/broadcasting industry. In April 1991 Mr. ST. Clair-Husbands was given the opportunity to design and manufacture loud speaker systems, in Barbados, WI. With help coming from the Barbados Government, a small factory was setup to start manufacturing these speaker systems. This project helped to create employment for 16 people.  In 1998 Mr. ST. Clair-Husbands turned over full ownership of the manufacturing factory to his then business partner. All rights and patents to the speaker designs are still owned by Mr. ST. Clair-Husbands, he then returned to England and in November of 1999 was the climax to whole scale changes within the BBC. It was now time for Mr. ST. Clair-Husbands to put other plans in place using the skills and qualifications which includes: a PHD in Digital Broadcasting, and a Masters Degree in Analog/Sound Recording. ​Assalam Radio is the main heart beat of the Hearken Media Group. Assalam Radio broadcasts on the web and on satellite broadcasting 24 hours a day, with at least 18 hours of live programming to start with. Using the latest digital and internet technology you will be able to listen to Assalam Radio on any web enable device such as: laptops, cellphones, and Black Berries, I Phones, HD and Satellite Radio receivers. The Assalam Radio programming format will be made up of religious affairs promoting Islam and news/talk shows. Assalam Radio is currently a BBC News affiliate station with national and international news that will be aired at the top of every hour; a proportion of air-time will be allocated for organizations and or individuals to broadcast infomercial type programming.
