Attracted by the St. Vincent’s Medical Center patient-focused healthcare program, with a special mission of providing care for the needy, Dr. Thomas completed her internal medicine residency at St. Vincent’s in downtown Manhattan, New York. After graduating in 2005, Dr. Thomas returned to South Florida where she has been practicing medicine ever since. Dr. Thomas is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in primary care and preventive medicine. Care Philosophy: “Primary care medicine can be challenging these days; nevertheless it is something I truly enjoy. My goal as a doctor is to provide quality medical care to all my patients. I believe in educating patients about their health, presenting them with options to improve their health, and tailoring treatment plans according to their needs. I am thorough and cautious in my practice. I work to develop a good rapport with my patients and thus can collaborate with and encourage them to improve their health. When she didn't know how to help me with other issues she clearly told me that was not her specialty. She made sure my labs were done and clear of any problems. The staff at Asha Medical Center are very professional. You can come and ask questions, and always get a satisfying answer. She is one of the most understanding people I have ever met. She will listen, take time with you and then help you make the choice with the best care. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Asha Medical Clinic. Dr. Thomas and her staff provide great service, and they are very polite and friendly. Dr. Thomas is extremely experienced and takes the best course of action to help. Dr. Thomas is literally the best doctor I have ever had. She spends time with her patients, and doesn't just write prescriptions- she actually knows what is best for her patients.
