Armand Exterminating, Inc. / Armand Professional Services, Inc. was founded by Scott, Mary (Mair), and Michael Armand, in late 2005, after they spent over 40 combined years in the pest control industry working for two of the most well known pest control firms in Palm Beach County. Scott was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, started in the pest control industry in 1983, and held positions in service, sales, and management until 1989. He was then offered a position as the Operations Manager of another firm and over the next 15 years became the General Manager and was the driving force in the growth and expansion of the company. His responsibilities included the daily operation of the business, sales, marketing, finance, advertising and acquisitions. In 2004, Scott left to pursue other interests, and after consulting for other service industries in the Palm Beach area, Scott and his wife, Mair, decided to return to the pest control business. Mair was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has been a resident of Florida since 1983. She has held various management positions in retail and customer service industries. Mair oversees the customer service division, advertising, and marketing. They have five children, and two grandsons. Scott and Mair are longtime residents of Royal Palm Beach, and are very involved in local community activities, such as the Palms West Chamber of Commerce, Royal Palm Beach Rotary, Wellington Chamber of Commerce, The Wellington Women’s Club, The American Cancer Society, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Diabetes Research Institute and My Brother’s/Sister’s Keeper Charitable Trust. The Armand family began their business as a pest control company under the name Armand Professional Services has been honored with several coveted awards, including the Palms West Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award in 2007. has also won “Best in the West Pest Control Company” for 2007 and 2008.
