. Animate Florida was formally known as Animate Miami, Anime Supercon, and Animation Supercon. ANIMATE FLORIDA is a three day celebration of Anime, Animation, Cosplay, Video Games, and Comic Books with some of the biggest names in the animation and anime industries, world-famous cosplayers, comedians, entertainers, and much more! There are always hundreds of events, such as celebrity Q&As, costume contests, video games, comedy shows, exhibitors, and artists! ANIMATE FLORIDA will take place at The Miami Airport Convention Center “The MACC”. 711 NW 72nd Ave, Miami, FL 33126 ANIMATE FLORIDA has a ten year legacy, dating back to the first Anime Supercon in April 2007, which was an offshoot of our main show Florida Supercon (est. 2006). Anime Supercon began in Fort Lauderdale, and moved to Miami in 2008. We changed the name in 2009 to Animation Supercon to better reflect the mixed anime/animation focus of the show. Following a brief hiatus, we rebranded the show in 2013 as Animate Miami. After several years as Animate Miami, the show is now known as Animate Florida, to better represent the scope of the show.
