Myers has also been called upon by state and federal governments and national organizations for testimony and advocacy in the developing UAV industry. He is actively working with multiple government agencies to develop business-friendly legislation that protects privacy and supports research. A graduate of the University of Florida, Mr. Myers channeled his passion for computers into his own business at age 21, helping companies of all sizes leverage advancing technologies to maximize their operational efficiency, competitive position, and systems security. Since then, he has owned several companies specializing in managed IT services, programming, digital forensic examination, data encryption, data recovery, and systems automation in such diverse industries as engineering, legal counsel, property management, and aviation. His expertise the ever-changing technology systems industry is represented by industry certifications from Novell, Linux, Cisco, Microsoft, Computer Forensics, as well as a Masters Degree from Unmanned Vehicle University in Arizona. He is also a commercially-rated IFR pilot. Angel Eyes UAV was also the first firm to pass the Space Florida Safety and Operations Process at Kennedy Space Center in February 2014. Mr. Myers is widely respected as an expert in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology and as a business and community leader. Representing AUVSI, an international organization, he has been called upon to testify before the Florida State Legislature as an expert and advocate to help draft legislation for commercial Unmanned Aerial Vehicle training and certification requirements in Florida. He has a member of the Florida Research Consortium Board, a Trustee Member of Collier County Economic Development Council, a member of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce 2004 Leadership Institute, and currently sits as a Board Member of AUVSI –FL Peninsula Chapter. He also enjoys serving as an Instructor for Junior Achievement. As founder and President of Angel Eyes UAV, LLC in Naples, Florida, he is able to merge his vast knowledge of data systems with his passion for aviation. Angel Eyes is committed to the world-wide development of specialized, high-tech business products that protect human life, as well as, streamlining commercial business operations with increased safety and reduced costs. An entrepreneur, MBA, and business and technology expert with over twenty years’ experience, Mr. Hussey built his career operating and managing outpatient imaging centers for groups of medical practitioners. Through his thorough knowledge of MRI imaging technology and key management metrics, he was able to direct and grow highly profitable imaging centers in diverse geographical locations. In addition to his advanced business acumen and his operational excellence, his exceptional people skills make him a critical part of the Angel Eyes team. Gene graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He had a passion for flying remotely piloted aircraft from the age of 12. He currently is the Chief Pilot for field training at Unmanned Vehicle University, an External Pilot of drones on a contract basis for the USAF, and course writer for PDH Academy for their drone curriculum. Previously, Gene was Chief Pilot and President for Troy Built Models. He has over 20,000 hours in remotely piloted aircraft, holds a manned pilot certificate, a FAA 333 waiver, and a FAA Remote Pilot in Command certificate. He owned several successful businesses and is proud to be a team member of Angel Eyes UAV. He focused on building, training and expanding sales forces for a variety of independent distributorships, as well as starting several businesses on his own. His expertise is in sales, creating systems, teaching, training, hiring and managing sales forces. His special forte and passion is in taking businesses just getting started and helping to build their customer base and perfect the sales/solution approach. He has worked proficiently in B2B sales and has called on all levels within companies. Love of technology and the willingness to just get out there and talk to clients make him one motivated person. The desire to solve problems, build long term relationships with clients and provide over the top service is just a small part of what drives him.
