Soon after graduating, Andrés made the bold decision to leave his home country of Colombia to move to the United States, where he didn’t know anyone and had to learn the language, to pursue a career in Motion Graphics and 3D Animation. He made Miami his new home, immediately landing a job in multimedia and web design. In 2001, he ventured to Washington, D.C. to work for an advertising firm. A few years later, he returned to Miami where he had the opportunity to work exclusively with renowned Latin celebrities such as actress Sofia Vergara and singer Juanes building and designing their personal websites. As the age of digital photography took off, Andrés applied his years of graphic design skills to photo retouching, building his personal style and talent as a respected photographer – ultimately launching his own company; Andrés Hernández Studio, Inc. In 2010, Communication Arts Magazine – the largest international trade journal of visual communications, recognized Andrés for his work with Rite Aid’s national advertising campaign around health and wellness. Recently, Andrés discovered a profound passion for humanitarian projects, allowing him to give back to the community through his talent. He joined The Healing Hands Foundation on missions to Latin America to document the charitable medical and dental efforts they afforded to those most in need. Andrés has also collaborated with Fashion Tails, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising animal rescue awareness. Leveraging his social media fanbase, he’s also successfully collected clothing and toys for underprivileged children.
