Amplefi OPS Founder John D’Alesandro was trained as systems engineer and spent his early career handling complex business and production issues of some Fortune 100 Companies. 18 years ago a struggling hospital administrator asked if John could help solve an ambulance restriction problem at a Cleveland hospital. Using his expertise, John was surprised to discover that the “issues”, weren’t necessarily process problems but rather reliability problems. The best way to solve ambulance restriction was to deal with the disconnects between the departments in the hospital. A month later, ambulance restrictions had dropped 95% and John found his calling of helping hospitals nationwide. Whether in showing a hospital in Texas that their new inpatient tower was actually increasing patient length of stays, or demonstrating that optimized lab processes were actually causing delays in care in a Philadelphia emergency department – Amplefi OPS has a wealth of real world experience. Now, the Amplefi OPS team has refined John’s methods and tools so that they can be applied by any team in Our method is unique. It compliments the work hospitals are already doing and builds on the information technology that is already installed.
