Started in 2010 by Tim Johnson and his father Tom Johnson out of their garage with 20 pieces of equipment. American Spot Cooling has quickly grown to have 4 locations and 1,000 pieces of equipment, ASC has quickly continuing to grow and just purchased a 10,000 square foot facility. In 2013 Lee Morse joined the team contributing not only his knowledge of HVAC systems but his experience in sales and management.Then in 2014 Bart McCracken joined the ASC Team and created the branch American Power Rental adding generators, power distribution, and transformers to the line of temporary HVAC products American Spot Cooling already offered. Tim is the founder and President of American Spot Cooling. He started American Spot Cooling with his father Tom out of his garage in 2010 and has grown the company to have 4 locations with over 1,000 pieces of serialized equipment. Tim started his career as a carpenter and builder and successfully owned and operated his own construction company with his father until he hung up his hammer in order to dedicate his time to the growth of American Spot Cooling. Tim learned the rental industry while renting equipment to and from other contractors and rental firms through his construction company. He was constantly looking for ways to expand into the rental field and eventually found his way into HVAC rentals and never looked back. When he was 19 he was recruited into the generator rental business as a generator technician, since then he has held multiple positions in the rental industry including Lead Technician, Service Manager, Business Development Manager, Branch Manager, and Operations Manager. In 2013 he joined American Spot Cooling/American Power Rental as one of the principles in the business. His role at American Spot Cooling varies as any business owners does but his official title is National Sales & Operations Manager. Bart has over 40 years in the business of temporary power and HVAC as well as AV production services. He is a Master Electrician in MA and NH. Bart received a Certificate Degree from Sylvania Tech in Telecommunications Electronics. In1986 Bart started his journey at Capron Lighting and Sound developing the temporary power and HVAC department into its most profitable business unit working closely with a national rental generator and HVAC supplier company. After leaving Capron, Bart worked for Milton CAT as their Rental Manager for the territory for 12 years developing the rental business. Bart then worked as the General Manager for Immedia Special Events in Worcester for 3 years developing their temporary power and HVAC business in anticipation of buying the company. Eventually joining forces with Lee, Tim and Tom at American Spot Cooling, Bart created a branch business unit called American Power Rental.
