American Silica was formed in 2011 with the goal of providing high-quality proppants for the oil and gas industry. On January 4, 2017 that goal was achieved with the completion of our state of the art processing and distribution facility in Black Rock, Arkansas and commencement of operations and shipments.  Production rates ramped up steadily in 2017.  In late 2017 we commenced various plant expansion projects which will double our effective capacity from 1 million to 2 million tons per year.  These projects will be completed by mid-year 2018. Our team, headed by mining industry veterans Tommy Bronson and Dan Cook is supported by a highly experienced and qualified management team that has designed, built, and/or run more than 40 quarries and mines over the past 50 years. The design and operation of our mine and processing facility reflect this experience and provide our customers with a reliable source of competitively priced, high-quality sand products. Formed in 2011, American Silica provides high-quality frac sand for use in the oil and gas industry. Our Cave City, Arkansas quarry has over 80 million tons of proven reserves of St. Peter Sandstone, typically referred to within the industry as Northern White sand. With a state-of-the-art processing and distribution facility located in Black Rock, AR, American Silica is uniquely positioned to offer bulk deliveries via rail, truck, or barge to most of the major oil and gas basins at very competitive prices.
