Amelia Urgent Care Amelia Urgent Care is owned and operated by Daniel Matricia, D.O., who is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine. In addition to his years of experience in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care, Dr. Matricia has acquired additional Occupational Medicine qualifications including: Medical Review Officer (MRO), Senior Medical Examiner for the FAA, and is certified by the American Society of Underwater Medicine. With Mrs. Matricia being retired from the U.S. Army Reserves and Dr Matricia being retired from the Georgia Army National Guard, the Matricia’s continue to have a special interest in caring for military personnel and their families. As a former Director of Emergency Services at two local hospitals, Dr. Matricia saw a need for easy access to high quality walk-in medical care and occupational medical services. With two locations serving the northeast Florida area, Amelia Urgent Care provides dependable, convenient, experienced medical care to a wide range of patients. In September of 2010, he opened the affiliated Amelia Medical Care and Occupational Medicine, bringing the same high quality of care and service to the Southeast Georgia-Camden County community. The Amelia Urgent Care and Amelia Medical Care team includes physicians, PA’s and Nurse Practitioners who support its mission of providing easy access to affordable, high quality, medical services.
