About Ambrose Air Doreen and I got married and moved from Warren,Ohio to Orlando in spring of 1983. I worked for several other air conditioning companies while Doreen continued in banking. In the spring of 1986 we added to our family with the birth of our first son, Kevin. Three years later his little brother Eric joined us. Doreen and I continued to work for other companies while we started to get the itch to start our own business. I knew if we were going to start our own business, I would have to get my state license. I got my license in 1987 and started to do little jobs while keeping my day job. In 1990 Doreen and I decided it was time to take the leap and we opened Ambrose Air. For the first couple years it was mostly just me doing all the work and Doreen helping with the books when she got home from her day job. As things started to take off I hired a few different helpers and we were in business. As things started to take off, we needed more help. We hired my brother Phil Jr as another service tech. We needed a delivery guy, my dad Phil Sr was willing to come join his boys. By 2000 we had added 4 more techs and 3 install crews. Doreen was now working full time in the office along with 2 other folks. In 2010 our current equipment supplier was no longer meeting our needs and we knew we had to make some changes. We decided to explore Carrier as an option and they surpassed our expectations. The Carrier brand had a full offering to help meet all of our customer’s needs. We had found a brand that we wanted to be aligned with and so in 2013 we became a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer. Our relationship with Carrier continues to grow and in 2016, we were awarded the Carrier President’s Award. We look forward to many more years and many more awards. I was referred to them by a friend after my AC completely stopped working.They really pulled through for me and I am extremely grateful. Great place they told me they would be here mid morning and showed up less then an hour later. I was worried about a few things and Brad answered all my questions and very helpful. The cost was much less then I had thought it would be. I very much recommend this place. Brad is the best. We called Ambrose Air in to fix some mistakes another AC company had made on our install. They did a wonderful job, the technicians were polite and friendly and completed the job for a reasonable price. We would definitely use them again. Recently bought a home in Oviedo. I got several quotes from AC Contractors to replace my original ac system. I have a son with allergies, so I wanted to assure I would get a quality system. Pat, was extremely helpful. He went through all of the specs of the different systems, explaining SEER ratings, filter options, as well as ultra-violet devices killing many germs in the air. Make a long-story short, the new system is great. The air quality has dramatically improved. I realize, from the outside, many ac contractors seem the same. I ended up picking Ambrose Air, because of the time Pat spent with me, explaining everything. After my meeting with him, I felt he understood exactly what I was looking for and sold me a system I would be happy with, without breaking the bank. Thanks. Ambrose Air has been there for all of my heating and cooling needs for the past 15 years. The staff is readily available and responsive whenever I need them. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services. Well for starters we called a In october and had a tech come in who replaced our heating element. His service was great very friendly and efficient and we were very happy with his work. Unfortunately since the heating element was replaced my A/C began blowing only hot air. Once was so extreme that the house was 100 inside. We decided to call again and had a second tech come in to take a look at the problem he took it upon himself to do what he had to do to fix the A/C without warning us of upcharges and we ended up paying $100 more than what we were told. It’s been about 5 weeks and the problem began again and these people give 0 guaranty. We are being told we have to pay again for a problem we payed for already and was never solved. Some techs might be good but not all and the customer service is poor.
