Almar Pools, Inc. was established by Albina and Marion Wiggins in 1972. Following Mr. Wiggins death in 1989, Gerry Waser and Chad Jackson of Jackson Pools in Estero, Florida, purchased the company and changed the name to Almar/Jackson Pools, Inc. Shortly thereafter, Gerry Waser received his state license and became the sole owner of the company. Waser, a graduate of the University of Florida, started his management career in 1978 with North American Biologicals, Inc. of Miami, Florida, eventually rising to the position of Vice President of Operations. Interested in building his own company, he into the pool business with the help of his good friend, Chad Jackson, who already ran a very successful business on the west coast of Florida. Gerry’s philosophy was simple: candidate, Ray Bushnell was brought on board in 1999. With Ray’s help (and many referrals from our customers) Almar/Jackson Pools has doubled in sales in the last ten years. They’ve expanded into the commercial market and currently have three licensed contractors on their staff. In recent years, Almar Jackson Pools has received over a dozen awards for design, technical expertise, and renovation work.
