alicia johnson I believe in the power of design. Thomas J. Watson Jr.’s quote, “Good design is good business,” resonates with me on a professional level. As a talented and creative designer who has worked within myriad teams of designers, developers, editorial and product teams, and artists of all disciplines over the years, I’ve had the honor of building a spectrum of beautiful things both digital and analog. I have a special love for typography (particularly hand-lettering and sign painting) and compelling layout, with my experience including all things digital with a healthy dose of print. I care deeply about producing exceptional results that delight and surprise people both on screen and off. My convictions are strong surrounding maker culture and how a team works together cross-functionally, with mutual respect for all areas of expertise — everyone has something to bring to the table. This respectful push and pull is where innovation happens.
