Elizabeth has over three decades of writing and research experience. She has worked with a variety of business and non-profit organizations, writing grant proposals, software documentation, and marketing materials. Elizabeth edits new and existing course content for flow, consistency, and of course, typos. She is a tireless researcher and fact-checker. (She can’t help herself!) She fills in the gaps when the content is a little bit thin. She views each new project as an opportunity to learn something new. She gives her best to each project. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s in Business Administration. Glen serves as the subject matter expert for Albany Analytical’s environmental and sustainability courses. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami in Economics. We have trusted relationships with web experts (for you site hosting and maintenance), web designers (for your business’ web strategy and technology needs), and graphic design (for your logo, ad campaigns, marketing, and corporate identity). As our client, you will enjoy the convenience of having us as the single point of contact on any project, Whom We’ve Helped with Lean Six Sigma A new business unit within an established telecommunications company was growing faster than it could have ever dreamed. It was having trouble defining jobs for current and new employees, monitoring performance, and keeping complete chaos from ensuing. An Albany Analytical coach was brought in to help. The coaching involved many “dumb questions” – the answers to which were “obvious” to the process experts. However, upon “walking the process” and seeing what was A small manufacturing facility – part of a large, global corporation – was in danger of being shut down because of their poor performance. Defects were high, resulting in low yield and high process cycle time. Shipping of finished product took over 30 days because of paperwork delays Using the BeeLineResults™ approach of targeting business process improvement efforts to the top 3 projects, limiting training on “the tools needed for the job”, and intense coaching, this facility was able to bring itself from a bad situation to a GREAT position within 7 months. Within 6 weeks, root causes were verified, solutions piloted, and the project was in the final stages of implementation! During the first 7 months they: reduced cycle time of paperwork to 25%, reduced equipment failures by over 50%, reduced inspection errors (which resulted in throwing away good product) by 80%, exceeded all of their production goals, improved employee morale, and did so with no major capital or resource investments. Within a year of launching BeeLineResults™, they were being held up by their corporate headquarters as an example to follow! A business unit of a large global corporation wanted to groom a Six Sigma Master Black Belt (internal expert) from within their own ranks. He was coached in his own improvement project, but more importantly, we coached him in how to coach others. The skill of doing a project is very different from the skills needed to coach a project. He sat in on many coaching sessions with his fellow team leaders – to observe the process. He was guided in the logistics of coaching: when to meet, what to say, how to keep notes and follow through on action items. He was given recommendations for books to read, technical conferences to attend. Then, he was given the chance to coach improvement team leaders, with the Albany Analytical mentor observing him, and providing feedback later. A decade later, he is a strong and vital force within this company’s Six Sigma organization, acknowledged for its global success. Whom We’ve Helped with eLearning Business Unit Training :: A place to share information outside corporate restrictions The business unit needed to provide training to personnel in environmental, health, and safety. They were expected to communicate to Albany Analytical created a stand-alone Moodle site for the business unit to fulfill all of its requirements; fast creation of training, tracking of activities, ease of access for remote personnel (employees and contractors) news forums, and public access to EH&S policies and events. The Moodle site and first course were online in less than one month. The business unit was able to modify the training without the usual formal change documents, with little or no lead time, post news, post the Policy for the public read, and link to internal websites securely. Professional Practice :: A self-help instructor puts her workshops online The volume of material to be presented was enormous and the instructor had too much else to do in her business start-up to learn Moodle. She had an existing Moodle site that was ugly and “broken”. Having wasted months and much money on discount web hosts and “consultants” not as well-versed in Moodle or training design as they claimed to be, she was at her wits’ end. She needed help! Albany Analytical took complete control of the Moodle site, and with the help of ClassroomRevolution.com, completely reorganized the courses, cleaned formatting, added graphics, flash objects with audio, rewrote copy, created quiz questions, built a custom certificate, and set up payments and enrollments. The new site was fully operational in three months.
