Nirmaljeet Malhotra has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry including 7 years in Enterprise Agile coaching and training. During the last 7 year, he has played multiple roles including that of a Scrum Master, Product Owner, Enterprise Agile Coach and trainer. In his current role as a Principal and Executive Agile Coach at Improving Enterprises, he is presently helping with a large scale agile adoption and transformation for Dell. As an agile evangelist, Nirmal has spent time with multiple large organization in US, Europe, India and Middle East in helping clients transform to the agile way of working (Scrum, XP, Scrumban, Kanban). Major companies that he has been engaged with include Rackspace, TomTom, CapitalOne, FedEx, Citi and JPMorganChase.
Nirmal is a firm believer in agile values and principles but at the same time he is not a purest. He understands the need to stay flexible is key to the success of agile as every business, company and projects are unique in many ways. His focus is to make tomorrow a little better than today for project teams which is in line with the idea of continuous improvement.
He has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and holds many industry certifications including CSP (Certified Scrum Professional), PSM (Professional Scrum Master), CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner), CSM (Certified Scrum Master), ICACP (ICAgile Certified Professional – Agile Coaching) and PMP (Project Management Professional). Rick has worked with clients at many levels, to train and coach on Agile practices, assess teams for existing Agile maturity, and to train and mentor future Agile leaders. Rick focuses his efforts on Scrum, Kanban, and XP teams - assisting with their adoption of Agile processes, engineering practices, team communication skills and dynamics, and professional development of ScrumMasters and Product Owners.
Rick is a firm believer that Agile teams naturally evolve, but that evolution frequently deserves mentorship or guidance. Rick stresses the value of Inspect & Adapt exercises, and that Continual Improvement practices will aid in creating the future of Agile software development.

Kai has helped organizations across several industries/domains, namely, telecommunications, healthcare, insurance, pharmaceutical, mining, travel, speech analytics, finance, and infrastructure to successfully implement Agile by customizing/tailoring it to best meet their individual needs. Kai takes a practical approach, which includes both technical and soft skills, to her coaching practice given her experience as a former member of Agile teams in the past. Because of this holistic approach her clients fully benefit from having a coach and mentor who has experienced the challenges, pains, and success of an Agile transformation.
As part of her coaching/mentoring activities, Kai has given several brown bags, workshops, and clinics to teams regarding user story writing, acceptance criteria writing, ATDD (acceptance test driven development), product backlog grooming best practices, estimation planning, capacity and velocity planning, retrospective, and others. Kai has held sessions with team members to help them better understand their roles and responsibilities, which includes testers, developers, iteration manager/scrum masters, product owners, business analysts. In addition, she has also helped assess and customized Agile tools as well as train management and team members on efficient usage as they pertain to their individual role(s) and team. All of above activities are to help ensure team members have the confidence in executing and delivering highest quality work in a timely manner within an Agile team environment.
