Wes D. got his start tattooing in 1994 in Phoenix, AZ and spent several years traveling cross-country, working to hone his skills. In 1997, Wes met his partner, Lisa while guest spotting at "World Famous Tattoo," in Perkasie, PA. After a few more years of travel and working alongside other talented artists, Wes and Lisa made Melbourne home and opened up Against the Grain Tattoo in May of 2002. Lisa co-founded Against the Grain Tattoo with Wes D. in May of 2002 following several years traveling from state to state. During this time, Lisa quickly made a name for herself as an artistic tour de force in all styles of tattooing. She is known for her detailed and vibrant work, and her ability to develop an idea into a living piece of art has garnered her quite a reputation. Lisa loves what she does and it shows in her work. Alex completed his apprenticeship under the watchful eye of the great Armadillo Red over 17 years ago. He has continued to build a breath-taking body of work across a variety of styles since then and has been a resident fixture of Against the Grain Tattoo since 2010. Alex finds inspiration in his love of surfing and the ocean and is always striving to challenge his artistic abilities. Tom has been tattooing in Melbourne, FL since 2011 and joined the team at Against the Grain Tattoo in 2016. He is consistently looking for ways to evolve as an artist and enjoys bringing vivid and imaginative ideas to life in his tattoos. When he's not tattooing, Tom plays the drums and enjoys camping/anything involving the great outdoors.
