We are changing our business after more than 40 years of offering diagnostic imaging in St. Petersburg. WHY?… because we are responding to the needs of our community! Our families and friends are no different from the rest of society. As a result, we formed Affordable Medical Imaging (AMI) to provide services to people that are suffering from financial distress. The nature of that distress may be due to the loss of a job, elevated insurance deductibles or the inability to afford health insurance at all. Affordable Medical Imaging is a family owned and operated business. The Williams have been in the diagnostic imaging business for more than 40 years. This is our career, our passion and the way we support our families. That is why we are committed to responding to the public need for affordable medical care. Our country is in a state of crisis when it comes to health care and we want to do our part in providing services to people who need it. Our professional and personal lives are molded by the people we serve Monday thru Friday but these are also people whom have become our friends. Helping them receive the services they need is nothing new for us but now we have given that service a name, Affordable Medical Imaging. Our Technologists and Radiologists are all Board Certified and specially trained. We are active in the imaging community and stay attuned with the latest developments and trends in the industry. But now, Williams can offer technology similar to a Catscan called Tomosynthesis which is the most advanced technology available to detect breast cancer, in fact it’s estimated to be 43% more accurate than 2D mammograms. It is still not covered by most insurance companies but for the first time is now affordable for self pay patients. Self pay is what Affordable Medical Imaging is all about, offering the same tests performed in hospitals and other independent imaging facilities at much higher price points and making them affordable if paid at time of service. This payment at time of service eliminates the billing process with insurance companies as well as billing staff and allows the test to be more affordable. AMI is all about making diagnostic imaging affordable and available to everyone who needs it. In order to offer the lowest prices available, AMI does not accept any third party insurance or any governmental insurance programs such as Medicare or Medicaid. However, AMI can provide you with a receipt for your paid services.
