In 1997, Jim McCord and son James McCord II started ADB Homes, LLC, with a mission to provide top quality, energy efficient homes to first time home buyers. James and his dad, Jim, started working together when Jim owned his own air-conditioning company.  After Jim sold that company, he went into a short retirement while his son went on to work for a local home builder. The duo teamed up again to start ADB Homes, LLC.  Supporting the motto, “A family helping families realize the American dream of home ownership,” attention is given to the smallest detail in each home. Jim and James have been working together nearly 35 years—since James was in high school. As a mechanical engineer, James finds all aspects of construction interesting. Building  homes is a perfect fit. ADB Homes, LLC has experienced phenomenal growth, and today is proud of its team of dedicated vendors and subcontractors. ADB Homes, LLC has helped nearly 1,200 families throughout Southwest Florida to realize the dream of home ownership. ADB Homes, LLC expanded its home portfolio by introducing the next level of quality home with homes ranging in size from 2,600-  to 3,400-plus square feet.  With a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Central Florida, James McCord, president of ADB Homes, LLC, designs and builds homes from the specialized  perspective of an engineer to assure that each home is structurally sound and energy-efficient. ADB homes also are built to exceed current hurricane code requirements. As a  result, our homes use less energy for heating, cooling and water heating than comparable homes built to the standard energy code. It is a split plan that has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a living room, family room and a dining room. It also has a large lanai and entry. We will help you through the entire home building process starting from finding a lender to picking your colors and closing. We will inspect your lot before you purchase to make sure that there aren’t any issues that need attention before construction. We will always let you know if there are any problems associated with your lot choice prior to finalizing your contract. We strive to make your home building experience as easy as possible. We are a family owned and a second generation Florida builder with over 35 years of experience in the Southwest Florida construction industry and we are breaking in the third generation to carry the torch. We have been through the good times along with the bad times and we are still here for the long haul. There were a lot of years that were very bad in our industry but we stuck it out through thick and thin. This goes to show that we will be here for the long haul.
