Acute Air Ambulance was founded by a Board Certified emergency medicine Physician, Dr. Michael Farrell. Dr. Farrell obtained his Medical License at Liverpool Medical School in the UK and did his residency training in Emergency Medicine and surgery in Miami, Florida. Dr. Farrell has been a physician for the past 30 years with training in flight physiology, hyperbaric medicine and Hypothermia treatments. Along with his continuous ER work at several hospitals Dr. Farrell has also been the Medical Director for the City of Pompano Beach Fire Rescue department located in Florida for the past 20 years. He enjoys his work in the emergency medical field and decided to start Acute Air Ambulance when he saw the need for quality air ambulance services. Dr. Farrell believes that when you or a loved one’s well-being is in jeopardy, that you should have nothing but the best medical care available. Dr. Farrell will dedicate his time to making sure that everyone at Acute Air Ambulance handles your transport to fit all of your personal needs. We guarantee to provide you and your family the best medical care possible. Courtney has been with Acute Air Ambulance since its inception and brings with her the knowledge and training in Emergency Medical Services. Courtney has certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS and Flight Physiology and she continues her training and education in fixed wing air ambulance consistently. She works closely with the office staff to make sure that each patient is being provided a timely and cost effective quote. She also works directly with the medical staff and Medical Director to ensure that a higher standard of care is being provided to each patient and family member that uses Acute Air Ambulances services. As the Chief Operating Officer she is also responsible for implementing new and informative training procedures and guidelines for all of the medical staff and enforcing all of the policy and procedures at Acute Air Ambulance.
