Ace It Test Prep, LLC was born over a decade ago in response to the needs of Volusia county students in Mr. Platt’s IB Biology class. Students prepping for SAT and ACT with another local provider and breaking down in tears in class because of stress and time demands which that program put on them. Having successfully navigated the test himself and being a successful teacher, Mr. Platt set out to develop a prep program that would help students succeed within the scope of their busy lives As word of our high quality service and superior results spread, our individual prep programs filled so we added other test prep professionals to our staff. When that wasn’t enough to handle the demand we modified our program into a classroom version and now an on-line offering as well. What started as Mr. Platt tutoring a few students in their homes each week has expanded to include 7 highly qualified in-home tutors, weekly and week-long classroom classes held at the local college and even online private tutoring and webinars. While we continue to grow, our core mission has remained the same: We strive to help each individual student meet his or her academic, college and career goals by providing unparalleled service and commitment to the success of every student. Since our inception as a Test Prep company we have added other highly qualified employees to our staff and now offer subject area tutoring, on line prep and a full array of College Consulting Offerings. Last year we worked with over 200 students from Volusia, Flagler, Brevard, St. Johns, Seminole and other counties and states. A graduate of Harvard University, Ms. Rasmussen has worked with students in the Ace It Test Prep system for over two years in individual, small group, settings and brings her expertise to her students. has provided test preparation services to thousands of students and hundreds of teachers throughout the country in a variety of formats. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum, Teaching, and Educational Policy at Michigan State University. Dr. Carlin brings a combination of testing know how and teaching skills to each session he does. is an in home test prep provider for SSAT, SAT and ACT as well as an essay reader and mentor. A graduate of SUNY Cortland with an MA in school counseling from UCF, Mr. Chiofalo has been a School Counselor, both in Florida and internationally, helping hundreds of students through the college selection and admissions process. is an in home tutor for AP & IB History and Economics. A graduate of both Stetson and UCF Keith also holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership. He has developed his skill set from 21 years teaching AP and IB in Volusia County Schools and has been helping students of all levels understand the social sciences. is our History tutor and GED specialist. Ace It has a 100% pass rate for our GED prep students. With his experience of over a decade teaching AP, IB and general history classes Mr. Prince is an expert in the subject area. In addition he has been the GED prep provider for Volusia County Corrections for the last two years.
