is an architectural designer with over 20 years experience in commercial design. A graduate of a five-year program with a Bachelor's of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, she’s designed a variety of projects from foodservice to retail clothing stores to emergency call centers. Her spare time is occasion ally spent co-piloting small planes with her father, renovating her dream car (VW Karmann-Ghia), creating jewelry, teaching jewelry-making classes, and making a home with her husband and their two dogs. they meet at a small design company in Wilmington, Delaware in 2000. Being the two newest employees and having the same first name (different spelling), they bonded almost immediately. So when ARAMARK hired one of them, the other didn’t hesitate to jump ship 10-months later when ARAMARK came knocking on the door. They worked for the same manager, which meant a lot of their projects overlapped. It didn’t take long for them to realize they were meant to meet, become life-long friends and business partners. With their skill sets and the professional relationships they had established, they knew without a doubt they could provide the same services on their own. P.S.: I thought I’d take a moment to answer the question we’re frequently asked, how we came up with the name of the company. Our ARAMARK co-workers nicknamed us “Ann(e) Squared”...A2. If someone called out for one of us, I always waited for Ann to yell back, “Which one do you want?” “J” is the first initial of the first name of an architect friend (sorry folks, his name remains secret) who was part of the group. As it goes, life happens; regretfully he bowed out but was honored when we kept his initial
