Tonya began her accounting and tax career with Mowers Accounting and Taxes Inc DBA A Tax Shelter when the company formed in 1996. As a founding partner she established the Ellenton location next to the Gamble Plantation. Beginning with a 200 client base, she has continued to grow the practice and in 2009 started A Tax Shelter Inc. Tonya is our company President and the driving force behind our level of expertise and confidence. In 2013, the company expanded across the Manatee River and now has a Bradenton location to service clients on both sides of the river. For almost 20 years, Tonya has been providing income tax preparation, accounting, tax planning services to business, estate/trust, and personal tax filers. She has been a resident of Manatee County for over 30 years and completed her education at the University of South Florida, receiving a Bachelors of Accounting, as well as taking a fifth year of education before completing her enrolled Agents Exam. She earned her Enrolled Agents license from the Internal Revenue Service in May of 2007. I provide tax planning & Federal/State tax filings for individuals, business, estates and trusts. Our office can provide active payroll, sales tax processing, entity formation for new businesses, new business registrations for payroll and sales tax, as well as full charge accounting services to both our individual and small business clients. We offer consulting services to non-profit organizations to ensure compliance with new IRS regulations for proper policy and procedures. We offer onsite or in house QuickBooks training for you and your employees.
