But, quality work and meeting high standards are unfortunately, something that very few us succeed in doing.” Over the next several years, A Cut Above grew to over 50 employees and eventually brought a landscape architect on staff, along with Irrigation Certified Technicians. “We sent our key employees to pest control and irrigation certification courses and had many of them get their CDL Licenses. The more diversified our staff is, the more we are able to accommodate all aspects of a client’s landscaping needs, not just their monthly maintenance.” When asked about the growth of the company, Rockett explains “All in all I am pleased with the growth rate we have maintained. It was important that we grow slowly as I did not want to outgrow my quality and service standards.” Currently, ACA services 100+ residential accounts monthly, maintains 18 residential complexes, and performs an average of 14 new commercial landscape installs a month.
