We would like to share with you a little about who we are at A Cause for Success, LLC. I am Michele Band and the Co-Owner/Program Director of A Cause for Success, L.L.C. My husband, Tyler Band, is a Co-Owner with me. Several years ago we envisioned creating a company that would provide the best therapeutic application of addiction and couples research. We wanted to see in-patient quality focus and services that were accessible, task centered, spiritual and at affordable costs. Upon the conclusion of the research project, I went on to work in the domestic violence field as a clinical director and then as an executive director. My background helped me understand the value of integrating an addiction screening protocol and the first pastoral counseling program in a domestic violence center. I am proud of the positive impact these decisions had on a lot of individuals that would otherwise have not come to our shelter, left sooner than they should, or been asked to leave. As co-owners, and as a married couple, we are both open about and are grateful for own recovery process. We have both worked very hard at addressing our own issues, and continue to do so. We continue to work our own individual12 Step recovery programs, as well. We also continue to work a coupleship 12 step program for couples. We continue in couples therapy-remedially, additionally. We, as co-owners, are committed to breaking the cycle of addiction in ourselves and supporting others in that same process. We are committed to maintaining the highest ethics and standards and support our clients in their enjoying serene and balanced lives that include healthy, loving, supportive, and secure intimate relationships. Those of us that have struggled with the impact of trauma and addiction deserve that. Candice is a Florida licensed clinical social worker specializing in trauma, mood and anxiety disorders and addictions. She was in private practice as a psychotherapist for over 15 years in the Central Florida Area. Post private practice, she was employed as a Health Coach/Educator for Florida Hospital. And also has served as a consultant for local organizations including A Cause for Success, LLC. Candice also has extensive experience working in addiction treatment programs in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Candice has over 25 years experience couple counseling in both private practice and in public sector specializing in all areas of relationship conflict and resolution. Candice has experience working with children, adolescence, adults and older adults. She is also trained in dialectical therapy. A Cause for Success is proud to announce Candice Burke coming on board full time! She will be offering individual and couples coaching, special skills focused webinars that will be related to addictions and coupleship skills.
