Liz comes to us from the University of Florida, with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders, and a Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology. Liz leads our talented team of therapists, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach customized to every child. A born teacher and mentor, she has trained students and mentored young therapists. She has participated in research efforts at UF, and has extensive experience with children on the Autism spectrum. She is recognized for her work on the development of social skills at the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD), where she co-created a social skills club for teens with ASD known as “MyFriends.” She is a certified provider of PEERS, a social skills training intervention for youth with social challenges. Liz has also received continuing education in pediatric feeding therapy techniques geared towards treating children’s sensory, behavioral, and oral motor needs. Additionally, she is trained in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), LAMP (Language Acquisition Through Motor Planning), and Visualizing-Verbalizing for Cognitive Development, Comprehension, and Thinking. We are contracted with many insurance plans, but we also bill insurance companies that allow out-of-network benefits. Contact your insurance agency to understand what is covered.
