39 Stripes is an American Christian rock band from Tampa, Florida founded in 1997 by guitarist Steve Henderlong. The band has released four CD’s, 39 Stripes (1998), Saving Me A Place (2002), Burn (2005), and Beyond Broken (2010) from Hollar Records reaching #4 on the Christian new rock charts. Previous Singles “Amazed”, “My Desire”, and “Saving Me A Place”, received radio airplay around the world with “Amazed” reaching #1 on online Christian Rock and A.C. charts for three continuous weeks. 39 Stripes has toured extensively, sharing stages with top artists including Jars of Clay, newsboys, Stryper, King’s X, Flyleaf, and appearing on Petra’s 2005 “Farewell Tour,” 39 Stripes has been covered by major media outlets, Billboard, Guitar World, Vintage Guitar, and Revolver magazines as well as being featured in author Lenora S.
