Are considered part of the daily business they can be scheduled with our office on a daily basis. Tour Buses can be scheduled 7 days a week from 8a.m.- 5p.m. during regular business hours. At Yalaha Bakery we are concerned with the health and well-being of our customers. Control of allergens in our facility and bread-making process is a significant part of our food safety program. Yalaha Bakery's Allergens Policy The allergens found in Yalaha Bakery’s facility are: Wheat, dairy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy. All allergens in our facility are isolated from other ingredients. Equipment making allergen products is dedicated to that product whenever possible. When this is not possible, a cleaning process is used daily on the equipment shared by allergen and non-allergen products. Aside from wheat, other allergens can be found in some of our bread production, these are cheese (milk) and walnuts (tree nut). Get Email Updates from Yalaha Bakery! McEaddy bought lakefront land and planted it with sour root stock obtained from a grove across the lake and later budding the stock from another grove, one planted by Frank Harris, for whom Lake Harris was named. Harris had purchased sweet seedlings in Sanford to set out the first citrus grove on the lake a few years earlier. Kizana was a help in many ways, not least in defending the McEaddy property. While McEaddy was tending his grove one day, his wife thought some natives were getting too close. She poked the muzzle of her shotgun between the chinks of her log house, yelled at them and they left. A Virginia lawyer named W.A. Hocker arrived in 1874 and soon was named to the Florida Supreme Court. H.H. Duncan, who would help shape Lake County, arrived at Yalaha in 1875. Duncan, a native of Springfield, Ill., had been a newspaperman and teacher in Illinois. After he arrived in Yalaha, he became a state representative, then a senator. He was one of those who helped create Lake County and named it in 1887. He helped anchor Tavares as the county seat by taking the county records from the temporary courthouse at Bloomfield, near Yalaha, rowing them across Lake Harris and hiding them in a house in Tavares. Duncan was elected the first clerk of the circuit court and served 33 years until his death in 1920. Get Email Updates from Yalaha Bakery! The pretzel first appears in America in the record of, what else, a court case. It seems a baker named Carl Carmer and his wife in 1652 were charged with selling Pretzels to the Indians. The problem wasn't that the Indians were eating pretzels (which they loved), but that the pretzels were made from the good flour from milling while the bread sold to the good people of Beverwyck, New York was made from the left-overs.
