Joining The Village Square Board of Directors are community leaders from across Tallahassee, both Democrats and Republicans, who believe that disagreement, dialog, and discernment of fact are important to common sense problem solving. Our board is represented by a City and County Commissioner, educators, business owners, religious and other non-profit leaders, as well as other professionals. We actively sought diverse opinions and philosophies, in fact, the board includes leading public voices on each side of our recent community debate on coal. To the Village Square will not participate in political or legislative advocacy to support or oppose any issue or candidate. While politics is a topic of conversation, the organization will serve a strictly educational role to the public, supporting a full and accurate hearing of the facts. While individual members of the Village Square may personally be involved in political activities, they are strictly prohibited from representing To the Village Square in doing so.
