J C STEELE INC., CRESTVIEW

A global provider of machinery, process solutions and service for handling and shaping difficult, sticky materials Our roots are in heavy clay, working with brick, block and tile manufacturers. That experience, along with our ability to add value to bulk raw materials, has driven our expansion into by-product management and resource recovery for iron & steel mills, ferro alloy mines and gypsum/wallboard producers. Steele manufactures feeding, sizing, mixing and extrusion machinery, as well as dies and bridges, tools, upgrades and auxiliary equipment. The company serves a global installed base with engineering, technical support, strategic warehousing and deep inventories of spare and wearing parts. Direxa Engineering, our engineering subsidiary based in Lakewood, CO is an engineering, procurement and construction enterprise specializing in plant and application engineering for the construction material industry and technical ceramic firing solutions. The company offers in-house design and on-site construction of its own dryers and kilns. Direxa has extensive experience with designing and building grinding plants, forming and shaping rooms, dryers, kilns and curing chambers, and product handling equipment. In-house specialists provide electrical drawings, PLC programming and IT supervision. Specializing in stiff extrusion for clay products The company’s experience and resources make it an industry leader in the design and engineering of production lines for stiff extruded clay products. The company also has extensive experience in plant and application engineering for non-clay lines, including concrete and beneficial use of fly ash to produce brick, block and tile. Direxa has the resources and flexibility to handle projects of any size — from small retrofits to complete turnkey plants. As a design and engineering firm, it places the application requirements of its customers above the sale or installation of any particular OEM technology. This allows engineers the freedom to source the best available equipment on a given project. The company is a global leader in engineering and manufacturing for heavy clay processing, from material preparation to shaping. Händle specializes in feeding, proportioning, mixing and extruding, with plant and application engineering, research & development, and a global sales and service network. The company’s longstanding relationships with the European heavy clay industry, along with its extensive experience with wet clay preparation and semi-stiff extrusion, add depth and breadth to The Steele Group’s global capabilities. Händle also provides application engineering and machinery for environmental engineering projects, cementitious panel production, landfill and sewer sealing machines, and bulk material proportioning for granular materials — FGD lime, talc and pulverized fly ash. Steele stiff extrusion provides a superior alternative to roll press briquetting, offering cost-effective agglomeration and briquetting or pelletizing of iron-rich by-products and ferro alloy fines. Steele Australia sells, services and supports all Steele and Händle machinery — even feeders, hammer mills, roller mills, crushers, disintegrators, mixers, pug sealers and extruders, plus all dies, bridges, auxiliary equipment, tools and upgrades. Steele Asia delivers Steele Group technologies and services to China and other dynamic Asian markets. Based in Changzhou (less than 200km from Shanghai), Steele Asia offers Steele and Händle products and manufactures equipment, combining competitive pricing with premium machinery, parts and service. The company’s experience, technologies and service are ideal for high-value products such as extruded panels, extruded pavers and soft extruded insulation blocks. Händle acquired ZMB Braun, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of extrusion tools, in 2014. The acquisition adds strength to The Steele Group’s die and shaping business, with ZMB Braun offering high-quality technology for customers in heavy clay and technical ceramics. In addition to its specialized engineering for innovative materials and processes, ZMB Braun maintains a contract manufacturing division for complex work pieces, with state-of-the-art manufacturing to provide premium quality parts with flexible lead times.
